Mayor Brandon M. Scott’s Back to School Kick-Off is a free annual event for the whole family. Families can enjoy a day of live entertainment, free food, fun activities, community resources, and more!

Know Before You Go:
- Register to receive a backpack
- ALL supplies and backpacks are FREE
- Yes you can receive multiple backpacks but the child MUST be with you at the time of pickup
- If your child is unable to attend the event with you, please send a message to [email protected]
- Yes there will be free food ONLY for families receiving backpacks. Limit 2 per student.
- Parking is FREE at the Lexington Street Garage - 510 E Lexington - from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
