Cheetah Beat are Australia’s ultimate frat band, an ensemble that marries sax, bongos and fuzz pedal to a swinging backbeat. Peddling a mix of sleazy surf and sinful serenades, Cheetah Beat are a few gigs in after a five-year break, and their unique brand of vintage cool will put your Fender in a blender.
Jupiter 5 have been exploring the outer reaches of the solar system on the back of the album "5th From The Sun" with supports to a string of local and international acts. Convened from trace elements of The Conspirators, Thurston Howlers and 69BC, they combine ‘70s riffs with lashings of 60's psychedelia and a frontman who defies categorisation.
Moot come from the genteel Mid North Coast town of Forster but are anything but retiring. They’ve been going against the grain with high energy rock and roll for a dozen years. Equal parts Dead Kennedys, Radio Birdman and MC5, they’re making one of their occasional forays to Sydney just to be part of Mayhem.
Since crawling from a pile of busted music gear a few years ago, The Strike Outs have been inflicting their caustic garage trash wherever there’s power and earholes. Combining the assault of Motorhead with the trash of the Mummies, their “full bore, anywhere, anytime” attitude has made them Australia’s hardest-working rock and roll duo.
