See all the beauty of Charleston (and a fair amount of traffic) as you run from THE WINDJAMMER on Isle of Palms to Folly Beach (full) and from THE WATERFRONT PARK PINEAPPLE downtown to Folly Beach (1/2).
This is an OPEN COURSE RACE so please abide by these ROAD RUNNING SAFETY TIPS:

BE VIGILANT--stay on sidewalks when available, cross intersections at crosswalks, obey traffic signals, always run against the flow of traffic so you can see oncoming cars, NEVER trust cars, be visible (lights, bright clothing, etc)!
The course will be inadequately marked with a few or none directional arrows, mile markers, and pinwheels. If you get confused, just ask for directions to Folly like a tourist...or just use your phone like a grownup!
There SHOULD be a few aid stations but you should carry some cash or cards to use at the number of gas stations, drug stores, bars and restaurants along the way if you need extra fuel.
Wear sunscreen, and we recommend carrying water and food!
This is a POINT TO POINT event so getting to the start and where you need to be after are UP TO YOU.
HOWEVER, you can DROP A BAG at the start of the full and 1/2 and your gear will be waiting for you at the finish.
USE OLD BIBS OR MAKE A NEW ONE!
FESTIVE MAYDAY-WEAR (tie dye, flower laurels, etc) s IS ENCOURAGED!
