About this Event
Cacao is much more than just chocolate. It is known by the Mayans and other indigenous communities as the Food of the Gods. It’s called a Heart Opener because it’s promotes healthy blood flow and a sense of happiness and well-being.
Nana Marina Cruz is an Ajq'ij, a Mayan Spiritual Guide of the Tz'utujil community from San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemaya. She's the daughter of the late Tata Pedro Cruz, who preserved the Mayan traditions for decades, even under direct persecution. Nana Marina has continued to practice and share these traditions and support her family and community with her travels and teaching.
Join us for this special ceremony Thursday November 20th at 7pm at a Manhattan location TBA soon to connect with the elements of nature in community.
Proceeds support the Tz'utujil Mayan community in Guatemala.
🤧There will be NO "rappe/ Hapé snuff" or "Magic mushrooms" or similars allow during the cacao circles so we can truly focus on our connection with our sacred beverage.
🥻We recommend that participants wear comfortable clothing of their choosing or preference, but at least it must covers the belly button, shoulders, and knees during the circles or ceremonies.
