Mayah Holmberg is a Helsinki-based interdisciplinary artist. Recurring themes in her work include questions of knowledge, memory, and the tangible comprehension of subject, object, and power. Currently, she is particularly interested in narratives, dialogues, and discourses, exploring these communicative concepts through various mediums.
Holmbergs’s exhibition “How to Stay Sane in Art and Love” is a pit stop in her ongoing project—supported by the Wihuri Foundation—exploring polarization and (self-)censorship in art. It features paintings, sketches, written works, and audiovisual pieces.
