Join us for this free musical event - "May the 4th Be With You" and dress in your Star Wars best!The Great Organs at The Cathedral, a true LA treasure, was built for film music. Under the hands of Christoph Bull, The Great Organs transport us into the Silver Screen through the sounds of some of films' most beloved music. The concert ends with its annual highlight of Bull's thirty minute celebration of John Williams' "Star Wars" themes. By the end, you will feel like you just destroyed the Death Star yourself. The Cathedral Choir and special guest choir Sonora Chorus will make a cameo appearance led by David Harris, and Grammy-winning pianist Gloria Cheng will play movements from Jon Williams' concert music "Conversations".
There is no way to completely describe this experience, and no way to know what you're missing but to be there! Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Star Wars attire and to wave their light sabers when inspired. Tickets are free, donations are accepted to support the continued vibrance of The Great Organs.
Doors open at 7:30pm, music begins at 8pm.
