Ormskirk and District Family History Society (registered charity no. 1004895) invite you to join us for our May meeting.As usual, we will begin with our Annual General Meeting and raffle, followed by a short talk by our colleagues from Ormskirk Heritage Hub (OHH), a Community Interest Company formed to celebrate, explore and preserve the history of Ormskirk and advocate for a local history museum to highlight the unique heritage of the town.
Dot Broady-Hawkes and Kathryn MacDonald will give an overview of developments so far and next steps on this exciting journey, including the work on Ormskirk's Micro Museum in a Telephone Box.
Although OHH is a separate organisation unconnected to ODFHS, we share many common interests, and we wish them every success with their new venture.
All are welcome to join us; you don't need to be a member to attend our meetings, and refreshments will be available.
