Our annual May Matters Walk is back for 2024! Join us in the heart of Christchurch (rain or shine!) as we walk together to raise awareness and show our support for those in our community affected by Brain Cancer.

Meet at Original Sin
Adults $25 / Youth $10 / Kids FREE
Our fun family-friendly walk is approximately 4.5km long, beginning at Original Sin on the Terrace and continuing along the banks of the Ōtākaro/Avon River. We wander past the Earthquake Memorial Wall and Boatsheds, through the Bridge of Remembrance and along the Promenade towards Margaret Mahy Family Playground, before turning around and ending back at Riverside Market.
The route is suitable for all ages, abilities, and four-legged friends – so be sure to spread the word and bring everyone along.
The team at Original Sin are kindly turning on their coffee machine early for our supporters. BYO reusable cup for a hot brew while you stroll.

Everyone who registers for the May Matters Walk will go in the draw to win a Grizzly Baked Goods voucher. Grizzly is responsible for some of the city's best sourdough, flaky pastries and other delicious treats. We will announce the winner at the end of the walk, so be sure to stick around to find out.

Prior to the event you will be sent an information pack with additional details including a copy of the walk route.
