About this Event

Venue: Tailor's Hall, High Street, The Liberties, Dublin 8

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we premiere Philip Kenny's latest poetry video, Myriad, followed by captivating spoken word and musical performances by special guests, Basil Breen, Vagabond Queen, Róisín Kearney and MC Adam Kelly.
Philip Kenny, an emerging writer and spoken word poet from Dublin, has captivated audiences with his poignant expressions. Despite overcoming challenges posed by his autism, he immersed himself in speech therapy, reading, and improvised performance classes during his formative years. His compelling body of work delves into the profound struggles he encountered while growing up, offering a unique perspective that intertwines the past, present, and future.
During this event, we will showcase Philip's latest work "Myriad”. This poetry video features the words of Philip Kenny, complemented by the body movements of visual artist Day Magee. Both artists have known each other for many years, and for the first time, they collaborate, with Philip reading the poem and the camera following Magee’s movements around Tivoli square, Dublin 8, in one continuous black and white take.
Following the screening, enjoy live performances by Philip and specially invited guests musician Basil Breen, spoken word poet Vagabond Queen, Róisín Kearney and MC Adam Kelly.
This event is made possible with support from Fingal County Council, Culture Date with Dublin 8, and Tailors' Hall.
