The Strauss Theatre for the Performing Arts is housed in the Community Learning Center (CLC). The theatre architect was A. M. Strauss, a Kendallville native, known for designing the Lincoln Tower, Embassy Theater, and original War Memorial Coliseum. The CLC houses a variety of organizations, hosts a wide array of classes, and entertains hundreds each year in the newly-named A. M. Strauss Theatre for the Performing Arts. The A. M. Strauss Theatre at the Community Learning Center is a handicap accessible venue that includes state of the art sound equipment from Sweetwater, an expansive stage and house lighting system, a 12ft. x 20ft. digital display screen, 424 comfortable seats, and more! There are NO BAD SEATS at the A. M. Strauss Theatre and plenty of friendly staff and volunteers to give each guest a memorable experience.
