Hello! In May we'll be taking a deep dive into lead and follow skills in Blues Dance - whether you've never danced before or you want to keep improving, these classes are for you.We have a selection of teachers for you this month, each focussing on different skills and ways to use them in your Blues Dance.
2nd May - Leading and Following Fundamentals with Joyce - the perfect beginner or refresher class, focussing on making your Lead/Follow relationship super comfortable.
9th May - Swoosh and Lag with Katy -
Focussing on Lead and Follow skills in Ballroom Blues - expect to travel and swoosh around the room!
16th May - NO CLASS - Come and dance with us @thespoonfulfest in Edinburgh instead!
23rd May - Switching it up with Bina - Learn how to switch roles smoothly mid dance, expect giggles and silliness and some serious dance skills.
30th May - Ambi-dance-trous with Andy - This class will look at where Leading and Following merge together!
Class from 8pm-9pm at The Red Door Club, downstairs from The Old Toll Bar, £5 or pay what you can (drop us a message if that's a problem!)
Afterwards we have a wee social dance and grab a drink from the bar.
All our classes are drop-in i.e. suitable for those who've never danced before, as well as those who've been dancing for years.
We also teach everyone both roles - leading and following - so you'll never be stuck waiting for a partner to dance with, and you don't need to bring a partner with you.
You don't need to wear anything special, though you may want to wear shoes with slippy soles.

We offer loyalty cards where, after nine classes, you get the 10th class free! Or, if you prefer, pay for nine classes in advance (£45) and get class number 10 free!
