About this Event
This course is a deep dive into wheel throwing, perfect for the total beginner or anyone looking for a refresher! Students will learn how to throw cylinders, bowls, and plates, trim their wares on the wheel, and sample a variety of handle styles and surface decoration to create their very own functional pottery. By the end of this course, students will be confident in navigating the Alchemy ceramics studio and can continue their pottery journey through membership or another class.
Included in the class is access to our Wednesday open studios (5-7pm) during the course, and one bonus open studio to finish up any glazing after all of the work has been bisque fired. All clay and glaze used during class is included- additional clay is available for purchase for creating new work during open studios.
This class is taught by local potter and glass artist Craig Britton, one half of the very talented team at . Craig is a patient and supportive teacher, and is excited to share his love and excitement for pottery with you!
