A Day at IMS - Presented by
You must present your Official IMS ticket, which will be mailed to you, to gain
entrance onto the IMS grounds. Eventbrite ticket(s) are not valid or required for entrance.
All AIA Indiana members and sponsors are invited to attend this program.
This event will take place RAIN or SHINE. Race cars will be on the track even if it rains!
Schedule of Events:
9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - AIA Continuing Education Session earn 1.5 LUs
9 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Check In
1 1:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Lunch Served
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Program featuring Dave "The King" Wilson and Al Unser, Jr.
Dave "The King" Wilson is best known for his time on Indianapolis radio including 13 years on the Bob & Tom Show, 15 years on the Afternoon Show of WIBC and 18 years on Indianapolis 500 Radio. His comedy is second only to his deep commitment to giving back. Over the years he has helped to raise over $5 Million for Riley Hospital, #Checkit4Andretti and American Legion Post 500. Wilson will treat those in attendance to a brief stand up session and then partner with Unser for a Q&A Session.
Al Unser, Jr. followed in the footsteps of his father and his uncle to become a repeat champion at Indianapolis, winning the Indianapolis 500 in 1992 and 1994. A rookie in 1983, he was the first person to compete against his own father in the same Indianapolis 500. Competing in his 19th Indianapolis 500 in 2007, and after logging seven finishes of fifth or higher, Unser moved into third place in the all-time “laps completed” standings (3,173) with only A.J. Foyt and his father having a greater number. Unser will answers questions from those in attendance, and sign copies of his book, A Checkered Past.
