Melanie Stepp

Melanie Stepp is a seasoned healthcare professional with over two decades of industry experience, including 13 years dedicated to life sciences and research. As the Sr. Director of Network Expansion, Melanie plays a pivotal role in fostering partnerships with physicians and healthcare organizations to advance Elligo's mission of expanding access to clinical trials, demonstrating her commitment to improving patient care options. Leveraging her extensive experience in collaborating with healthcare stakeholders, including previous roles in provider relations, admissions, and patient accounts, Melanie has been instrumental in cultivating a robust network of Research Ready practices. Her strategic approach and unwavering advocacy for the critical role of clinical trials in improving patient outcomes reflect her dedication to enhancing healthcare through research. Melanie has been with Elligo for three years; prior to that, she held various roles at IQVIA and Orlando Health. Living in Wellington, Florida, with her husband and three children.


Chief Executive Officer, CMPE

As CEO of Asheville Neurology Specialists and Principal of Best Practices, LLC, with over 30 years of medical practice leadership experience, Carolyn promotes a prominent level of innovation and collaboration to sustain a neurology private practice care delivery model with a forward-thinking approach to value-based care models. She is also the Principal of Best Practices, LLC with a mission and passion to provide services such as startup implementation, strategic planning, financial projections, and operational workflow processes for practices. She is a co-founder of Asheville Neurology Specialists, established in 2004 consisting of three neurologists and five physician assistants. Asheville Neurology specializes in advanced treatment in Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Chronic Migraine with Research, Ph*rm*cy, and Infusion.Carolyn is a long-time member of MGMA, a former WNCMMA Officer and current appointed American Academy of Neurology Medical Economics and Practice Member. She also serves on a variety of AAN committees and workgroups including Business Administrators Cohort, Gold Carding and Cognitive Therapies.
