Please note: CID attendees seeking credit must provide their IDCEC number at registration.




Description:

When visiting a jobsite, it is nearly impossible to know all the potential dangers. While safety attire requirements maybe be posted at the site, the signage may not list the dangers that might be happening in a specific area, such as overhead material lifts, loud noise, or extreme dust. Please join the conversation and learn why it is our ethical responsibility of contractor and design professionals alike, to create a safe environment for all persons on the job site.

Meet the Instructors:


Heather Greiner

As the Director of Business Development at Greiner Construction, I focus on exceeding customer satisfaction, and always deliver. My approach prioritizes understanding a company’s or individual’s unique needs and ensuring tailored solutions. Connecting customers with the construction team that is best suited to bring value to their corporate office, healthcare clinic or affordable housing project is my strength.


Attorney Kristine A. Kubes

Kristine A. Kubes is principal of Kubes Law Office, PLLC, serving design and construction professionals through all stages of a project from contracts to payment issues, liens, and defense of professional liability claims. She is a litigator admitted to argue cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a mediator, and educator on construction, design, and ethics issues. Kristine is a Past National Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law. She served as a public member on the MN Board of AELSLAGID from 2006-2013, during which she served two terms as Board Chair from 2009-2011. Daughter of a teacher and a carpenter, Kristine uses the lessons her parents taught her every day.
