About this Event

Learn how to engage all students through rich activities and mathematical connections!

This two-day, in-person workshop focuses on Grades 6-8 but is appropriate for any teacher, leader or administrator in the middle years of K-12 education. We explore the Big Ideas for this grade level and how to use them to teach students in an engaging way, while covering all relevant mathematical standards. The workshop begins at 9:00 am each day and ends at 3:30 pm each day.

  • Workshop run by Dr. Jo Boaler & Cathy Williams
  • Includes lunch and a light breakfast each day
  • Participants receive certificate verifying 10 Professional Development Hours (1 CEU)

Please note that, except for free parking that we offer to attendees, transportation and lodging are not included in the workshop fee and all travel arrangements are the responsibility of the participant and/or their school or district.
