MAVERICKS - PAOLO HEWITT - CORNWALL
Paolo Hewitt is the author of twenty-six books, covering a variety of subjects, from music to football to fashion to his time in the care system.
Four of his biggest sellers are his two books on Oasis, Getting High and Forever The People, his biography of former Small Faces and Humble Pie frontman, Steve Marriott, and his biography of the footballer, Robin Friday.
Not only were all the books highly acclaimed at time of publication, but they carry a common theme – at the centre of all of them are mavericks.
Noel and Liam Gallagher, Steve Marriott and Robin Friday all operated outside of the normal rules, creating fascinating and compelling and hugely entertaining life stories that inspire many.
In AN EVENING WITH THE MAVERICKS Paolo will discuss these individuals, relate hilarious anecdotes and illuminating stories about them, and read from his works on these fascinating individuals.
In between each book – Paolo will start with Robin Friday, then move onto Steve Marriott, before finishing on Oasis – Paolo will also deliver funny and entertaining anecdotes from his ten-year career as a writer for both Melody Maker and NME.
These will include adventures with The Specials, Paul Weller, Rickie Lee Jones, and others of a similar calibre.
