Through music, Scripture reading, and communion, you’re invited to gather and reflect on Jesus and the sacrifice He made for us on the cross. The night before He was to die, Jesus seems to have a singular concern, not His death, but that He wants His disciples to know how much He loves them, and how vital is that love be the trademark of their lives. “Maundy” comes from the same Latin word as “mandate.” It was on that Thursday night 2000 years ago that Jesus gave them a new commandment.
The Maundy Thursday Service will be a time of quiet reflection on Christ’s sacrifice, His servant’s heart and His new commandment. Join us as we reverently remember the Sacrifice, and celebrate the Lord’s Supper, with Scripture readings, and hymns.
