Join us this Maundy Thursday as we engage all five senses as we walk through what the apostles and Christ may have been feeling in the days leading to Christ’s crucifixion. Our Clayton site will hold experiential, immersive experiences that will feature art from members of our own congregation!*Families and individuals who need low sensory input - no music and lighter crowds - are invited to join us early at 4:30pm.
What to expect:
Stations to walk through that feature art, hors d’oeuvres, music, and opportunities for reflection and prayer. There will be a station guide and journal given to you when you arrive to help lead you through the experience.
What about my kids?

How to show up:
Show up at our Clayton Site (101 N Bemiston) some time between 5:00-7:00pm, the stations will start in the sanctuary and be dispersed throughout the main level.
______________
Maundy Thursday represents the meal Christ had with his disciples prior to his arrest and execution. During this meal, a lot goes down. Jesus commands his disciples to love one another. This is the meal where Christs presents the bread and cup, and instructs us all to drink and eat. This is the meal that lays the groundwork for the days to come, it’s inviting everyone to the table to instruct them about what’s happening, it’s preparation for the burial, it is getting ready for the inevitable. It’s unease, confusion, excitement, all mixed up in the Last Supper Christ shared with his followers.
