We are delighted to announce that Graham Langton is our next speaker, following his successful presentation to the Auckland Mature Mountaineers.Graham is well known to most of you through his NZAC activities and his writing and editing of works on New Zealand Mountaineering, including Summits and Shadow s in 2011 and the revised edition of John Pascoe’s Mr Explorer Douglas in 2000 and many contributions to the NZ Alpine Club Journal.
Graham’s talk is Against the Odds: Early Women Mountaineers in New Zealand. Through his professional career and lifelong connection to New Zealand mountaineering, Graham is uniquely placed to provide new and compelling insights on the many contributions made by early New Zealand women mountaineers.
