Saturday, Nov 22, 2025 7-9pm - Matthew Hender Live @ The Battery CafeMatthew Hender is a veteran musician from Newfoundland, who has taken to being a singer-songwriter. With the inspiration of the songwriters of the early 70s, Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, and John Lennon, Matthew would start to write and perform all his music on his own. His first album, Baby Eagle, was very well received and he was awarded the Music NL 2021 Rising Star of the Year Award. In 2024, Matthew released a winter/holiday ep, Winter Solstice but had been handed many setbacks and family tragedies for 2025. Looking to "get back to better", Matthew finally finished production of his sophomore follow up with producer and engineer, Mark Feener and will be performing his first full show in 2025 at The Battery Cafe.

Our max capacity is 35 so larger groups (>3 people) should purchase tickets well ahead of time. Walk-ins may be available on the day of the show - please drop in or call 709-722-9167 to confirm.
Our Kitchen closes at 4:00pm, but snacks and baked treats are available till 9:00.
Please arrive at least 15 mins early to get seated and avoid the rush. Groups of 3 or more will be assigned a table; free seating for singles and couples. Please check in with our staff before seating yourself.
Seats will be held for 30 mins after the show start, after which they may be given to walk-ins. Tickets can also be transferred - login to https://locarius.io/.
