Our workshop on October 25th will be taught by Matthew Bird. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Matthew graduated with honors from the Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, New York, in 2000. He is a Signature Member of numerous organizations, including the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society, where he served as vice president. His award-winning watercolor paintings have been exhibited in juried shows across the United States, as well as in Canada, China, England, Greece, Hong Kong, and Italy. His work is in museums and private collections.Matthew is very excited to be doing this mini workshop and sharing his process with you. He hopes this will be a fun and engaging experience.
Together we will work on a realistic still life, and he will demonstrate many aspects of my painting process.
The materials list is fairly comprehensive, because people often ask for specifics on everything he uses.
However, you do not have to own or use everything that he does. A great painting can be made with much less.
