This series will present a carefully curated selection of local talents who are shaping the sound and energy of our community.
Expect a journey through uplifting house and tech house, designed for flow, connection, and movement.
Each artist will perform extended sets, allowing space for deeper storytelling, musical expression, and a proper dancefloor progression.

A duo built on over 15 years of shared music, friendship, and dancefloor experience.
Matteo Freyrie and Etwas have grown together as artists, selectors, and performers , developing a rare back-to-back chemistry that only comes from years of playing side by side. Their sets are fluid, instinctive, and highly connected, driven by a deep understanding of each other’s sound, taste, and DJ style.
Rather than trading tracks, their B2B sets function as a single voice, tight, rolling, and powerful, blending underground tech-house with groove, tension, and momentum.
Together, Matteo Freyrie B2B Etwas deliver extended, high-energy sets that are groove-driven, technical, and deeply connected to the dancefloor. Their long-standing relationship translates into flawless transitions, shared intuition, and a sound that feels both refined and explosive.
MATTEO FREYRIE
Born in Milan in 1992, Matteo Freyrie is an established DJ and producer with over a decade of experience in the underground techno and tech-house scene. After relocating to Melbourne in 2014, he developed a signature sound defined by rolling basslines and driving energy, quickly gaining recognition across Australia and internationally.
In 2017, Matteo broke onto the global stage with his debut release John Lee on Snatch! Records (Riva Starr), followed by releases on labels such as Reload, Prospect, Flashmob, Over, Habitat, Circa Tracks, and more. A long-standing Eat The Beat resident for over 7 years, Matteo is known for his commanding presence behind the decks and seamless, high-impact mixing.
His career has taken him across Australia, Ibiza, Amsterdam, London, Italy, Asia, and major festivals including Elrow, PURE by Carl Cox, Piknic Electronik, Babylon Festival, sharing stages with artists such as Sam Paganini, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Enrico Sangiuliano, Christian Smith, Nakadia, and many others.
ETWAS
Also hailing from Milan, Etwas entered the electronic music scene from a young age, immersing himself in club culture before picking up his first drum machine at 17 and transitioning into DJing shortly after. His early years saw him performing at iconic Milan venues such as Amnesia, quickly establishing himself within the underground circuit.
Since 2017, Etwas has been a core resident DJ for Eat The Beat, holding down weekly sets at New Guernica and Storyville, becoming a defining figure in Melbourne’s late-night scene. As a producer, he has released music on leading tech-house and minimal labels including La Pera Records, Lapsus Music, Material, Happy Techno Music, among others.
Etwas recently launched his own imprint WEDONTFIT X ETWAS, focusing on more experimental and creative releases. His career includes performances alongside Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Hot Since 82, John Summit, Martin Ikin, and appearances at global institutions such as Circoloco, Elrow, PURE, and major festivals worldwide.
