About this Event

The past comes alive with Cincinnati’s Matt Tolentino Band, bringing back the sounds of the Jazz Age. Music from a time when simplicity lived comfortably with sophistication. The Band captures this timeless era with the utmost authenticity, paring yesterday’s music with today’s energy. The Twenties was a fast-paced, raucous, heady time in history - a time that speaks to us from another era - a time that somehow seems mired in the past yet simultaneously in step with our modern times. Come revel in the energy, intelligence, and pathos of America’s treasured musical past. The Golden Age of Jazz was the Golden Age of Dancing. When jazz wanders far from the dance floor, it first struts a bit before the hoi polloi then pauses to contemplate its navel, and finally settles into therapy. Jazz is an art, all right; but deliver us from the Jazz Artist” –George H. Buck, Jr.
