On Saturday, September 20 at 4:00 p.m. the Luther Memorial Concert Series, in association with the Jefferson Educational Society, NWPA Pride, the Erie Community Foundation, the Erie LGBT Fund, Great Erie Alliance for Equality, and Compton's Table is hosting a showing of the documentary film “Matt Shepard Is a Friend of Mine."The film will be followed by conversation with the producer, Linda Karn, and special guests Judy and Dennis Shepard, Matt’s parents.
After Matt’s murder, his parents became LGBTQ advocates and established the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
The event is free and open to the public. However, tickets are required for entrance.
