Shoehorned somewhere between 2000s indie and old school funk & soul, Matt Hennessy can never decide exactly where he wants to be. This indecision, paired with heart-on-sleeve lyrics about love, imperfection and self criticism, brings out a messy (but relatable) style of writing, complete with an unmatched live energy. Thanks to opportunities opening for bands like Cassia, Crystal Tides and Tom A. Smith to name a few, Matt has been able to build a small but dedicated fanbase - and he's only just getting started.
