You’re Invited: A Sunday Day Time Dance Club!🎧 Featuring the music of the Talking Heads (1977–1980)
Trade the evening gloom for a high-energy afternoon of rhythmic art-punk. We’re hosting a Sunday Matinee Tea Dance dedicated exclusively to the jittery, brilliant, and polyrhythmic sounds of the first four Talking Heads records.
We’ll be spinning tracks chronologically from the foundational era:
• Talking Heads: 77 – Nervous energy and "Psycho Killer" precision.
• More Songs About Buildings and Food – The beginning of the Brian Eno era; funky, crisp, and driving.
• Fear of Music – Industrial grooves and the paranoia of "Life During Wartime."
• Remain in Light – The full-blown Afrobeat revolution; dense layers and "Once in a Lifetime" loops.
