This is a Compass Academy homeschool enrichment class for ages 6-8, taught by one of our beloved teachers, Jillian Koscielniak. We want children to make their own connections. Story problems are a wondrous gateway to help children understand how math is related to the real world.
In this class children will:
Understand the quality of numbers and how they can be manipulated (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
Learn tools and strategies to help solve math challenges with confidence
Learn and practice problem-solving skills, such as perseverance, keeping an open mind, there are various ways to find a solution, collaborating and communicating ideas with others, and much, much more!
