Hi, how are you?Since January 2019 we have held our weekly Mental Health and Wellbeing Walk & Talks as a place where people can come and get things off of their chest and share their problems or concerns, or just get out of the house. No photos, no notes, no stigma just a nice walk and chat to people in the safety of people that care and will not judge.
In addition to the weekly walk and talks we now bring you pitchside drop-ins twice a week in addition to our weekly walk and talks. Why not pop down and have a chat?
The drop ins are generally attended by men, however women are of course welcome. Organised by MATES (Mental health Awareness Through Educational Speaking) mental health group, a great opportunity to come and blow away the cobwebs and get out of the house. Have a chat about mental health or just meet new people.
Anything that’s said is confidential no judgement, no notes, no videos, no photos...just people that that care.
MATES FC are proud to run as one of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably, the UKs biggest Suicide prevention charity) clubs.
No vaping, smoking, animals or single use plastics are allowed on site and no bikes are allowed within the Football cage area.
All MATES Mental health Awareness Through Educational Speaking Community Interest Company events are free to participants and are run by volunteers.
