Start: 07:00 at Chardonnay Deli Constantia
It's time for the bi-annual Deli-2-Deli again! This run starts at Chardonnay Deli in Constantia and ends at the Chardonnay Deli in Kalk Bay, opposite Dalebrook tidal pool.
All participants will receive a 20% discount voucher at the start to be carried with you to the end. If your intent is to run on the day, please confirm your attendance for catering purposes as the Kalk Bay team needs to know in advance. Note that Coffee will be available from about 6.00 at the start.
There will be a SnapScan for donations at the finish, and beers courtesy of our friends at Jack Black.
Route: From the deli parking lot, you head up the t*r, making your way to Price Drive to connect to Vlakkenberg. Follow the path up and over, turning left onto the Vlakkenberg Trail Path we normally access from Constantia Nek. Continue straight until you hit the t*r, and keep right, connecting to the Manganese Mine path. At the end of the Manganese trail, go straight on the upper contour at the second zigzag. Head up Blackburn Ravine, and down to Silvermine Dam. Follow the River Trail, cross Ou Kaapse Weg, and enter Silvermine Gate 2. Connect to the single track above the waterfall and aim for the Amphitheatre. Down Echo Valley and ending at Chardonnay Deli opposite Dalebrook tidal pool.
Distance: approximately 24km.
*Note that this is the classic route. We may have to adjust it closer to the time depending on which parts of Silvermine are re-opened.
Please note that you need to be self-sufficient. There will be no marshals on the route. With this being a point-2-point run, runners will need to arrange their own transport.

Dress in weather appropriate and proper trail running gear. Must include a proper windproof (waterproof if raining) jacket. Carry plenty of water and energy snacks. You are running voluntarily and entirely at your own risk.
