Maternal Mental Health Awareness week is May 4-10, 2025! Please join us for a free community-led awareness event on Sunday, May 4 that will include a screening of the WQED documentary "You're Not Alone" and a few different speakers.
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are the #1 complication of pregnancy, affecting 1 in 5 women. These conditions are treatable, yet most who suffer from these conditions never receive treatment. I am a survivor of perinatal anxiety and depression and am hosting this event with my mom.
Our goal is to raise awareness of PMADs, treatment resources in our community, and share ideas for how community members can support new moms.
