About this Event

Mater Research invites current and future students to our free Student Experience Event on Wednesday 31st of August 2022. The event will be held via Webinar and in person at the TRI Auditorium.

Mater Research is committed to supporting the researchers of tomorrow by providing students with excellent project opportunities with outstanding supervisors. There are currently a range of research opportunities available at Mater Research for students who would be interested in undertaking a Honours, undergraduate, Masters, MPhil or PhD project starting in 2023.

A range of available projects will be presented at the event which are suitable for undergraduate or post-graduate students who would be interested in undertaking a research project and are enrolled in an Medical, Biomedical or Allied Health degree.

Our Student Experience Event is a valuable opportunity for attendees to learn more about current and upcoming research opportunities and learn about the application process. You will hear presentations from Group Leaders, the Chair of the Mater Student Research Committee and a Mater Research Student.

TRI Auditorium (Ground Level)

37 Kent Street, Woolloongabba.

Please note: All attendees at the TRI Auditorium are required to sign in via the QR Codes available at the venue and practice social distancing. TRI is situated on a hospital campus, it is covered by Queensland’s Hospital Entry Directive. This Directive requires anyone aged 16 or over who enters TRI’s premises to be fully vaccinated (two doses) with an approved COVID-19 vaccine, or to have a valid medical exemption. Anyone attending in person must not attend if they are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive to COVID-19, or have had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19; and are displaying COVID-19 symptoms. TRI also reserve the right to refuse entry and must insist that anyone with these symptoms leaves the venue.
