Grab your whānau and friends and join us to celebrate Matariki. We will be planting native trees and shrubs to restore the whenua.
About this Event

Your hard work will help grow the urban ngahere (forest) of Auckland and create new habitat for native birds and other wildlife at this little known reserve.

Make sure you stick around for a FREE sausage sizzle, connect with your community and learn more about what to plant on your property to attract native wildlife.

Where: Hosking Reserve, Lucas Heights.

No parking is available at Hosking Reserve. A free shuttle bus will be running from Hooton Reserve (Mills Lanes carpark) at 9.30am and 12.30pm.

What to bring: Sturdy covered shoes, weather protection (sun or rain), bottle of water. Spades and gloves if you have them.

Protect our parks from kauri dieback: Bring only clean footwear and equipment to our parks.
