Join us at the Christchurch Irish Club to Celebrate Matariki!Date & Time: Saturday 29th June at 4pm - 6:15pm
Location: Christchurch Irish Club, 29 Domain Terrace, Spreydon
Cost: Adult - $20 / Child 12-18yrs - $10 / Under 12yrs - $5
This year we will be learning about the Matariki cluster and what they represent with a parent/child activity - an information treasure hunt! It is an activity for all. We will also have lots of other activities available such as string art with wool, wood and cardboard, colouring in and scratch art, along with reflecting on loved ones and a wishing tree.
We will then enjoy a Hangi for dinner at 5pm. This event will be limited to 50 people.
It's important to the Chch Irish Society to continue exploring the links and connections that the Irish and Māori cultures have with each other, and therefore we thought it would be fitting to have an evening with Kai (food) and activities where we can all learn.
