Join us for an evening of Polish musical brilliance in the magnificent setting of Trinity College Chapel. Pianist Stanisław Majewski will present a programme featuring some of the greatest works of Poland’s musical heritage - from the romantic depth of Chopin and Moniuszko to the cinematic majesty of Kilar and the virtuosic brilliance of Paderewski.
Programme:
W. Kilar – Polonez from Pan Tadeusz
F. Chopin – 4 Mazurkas; Étude in E major, Op. 10 No. 3
S. Moniuszko – Prząśniczka and Pieśń wieczorna (arr. for piano solo by S. Majewski)
I. J. Paderewski – Krakowiak fantastyczny; Nocturne in B-flat major
