This course will teach you that most ancient and essential human skill; mastery of fire, in all conditions. You will learn how to light a fire using all 7 possible methods of fire lighting including an input on fire by friction and plenty of opportunity to try this, and the other 6 methods for yourself with friendly and practical guidance as you master the techniques at your pwn pace.You will learn the best types of timber and natural materials to gather to make the most successful fires. You will also be shown a range of fire lays and how to exist in harmony with your surroundings by leaving no trace.
An essential course for all those who enjoy being in the outdoors, even if you only intend to use it on your next camping trip!
Held outdoors in an expedition-style camp surrounded by beautiful broadleaf and coniferous woodland, there is a covered teaching area where you will be provided with tea, coffee and soft drinks.

- Selection of tinder, kindling and main fuel
- Basic fire lays
- Fire from one match
- Fire management
- Leaving no trace
