Vienna-based Slovenian composer and guitarist Timotej Kosovinc composes for a variety of musical instruments and is especially successful in the field of concert music. He studied at the University of Music Vienna, where he studied guitar with professor Alvaro Pierri as well as composition and music theory with professor Detlev Müller-Siemens. As a composer and guitarist he is a laureate of numerous international competitions and a regular guest in prominent concert halls such as Musikverein (Vienna, Austria), Slovenska filharmonija (Ljubljana, Slovenia) or Cankarjev Dom (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and in various festivals and summer schools such as Wien Modern, Intonation Ungarn, Forum Gitarre Wien, Liechtensteiner Gitarrentage or Festival de la Guitarra de Sevilla.YOUNG COMPOSERS AND GUITARISTS, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!
Join a day long event, organised by Johann-Joseph-Fux Konservatorium with composition workshops, masterclasses and a concert with the wonderful Duo Basili-Kosovinc. Bring your guitars and let's make some music together!!
