Masterclass with Masterpotter Jessie Lim: Hand-Building

Senior ceramist Jessie Lim has run an independent studio since her return to Singapore in the 1990s. Lim is noted for her large nature-inspired sculptures, often in monochrome glaze. Teaching pottery all the while, she steadily developed her characteristic techniques and vocabulary for sizable hand-built clay works, as well as constellations of smaller table pieces.
This will be your opportunity to not only hear the ceramics doyenne talk about her practice and demonstrate hand-building but also to ask her those sticky clay questions you need to know so you can move on with your own work!
There may be opportunities for hands-on practice too at the on-site event.
