About this Event
Do you know what makes audiences invest into improv scenes, what holds their attention? When characters are emotionally impacted by the scenes. In this workshop, we will explore a varied range of emotional techniques to bring the scene to life and create richer, memorable and deeply moving scenes.
Do you want to play your emotions more authentically on stage? Shift from players that signal emotions to characters that go through emotions?
There are many techniques for portraying emotions. Don’t worry, we want use method and ask you to re-experience things. Instead we’ll focus on the one that’s safer and faster - via muscle tension and breathing techniques.
We will also explore the difference in intensity of emotions, playing scenes where you emote outward vs inward.
Who is teaching ? ?♀️
Mash is a trained improviser and actor based in Amsterdam, NL. She has performed with Boom Chicago house teams, and is currently in the main casts of Flock theatre and Easylaughs. Mash is a ever-versatile improvisor, picking and choosing amongst a wide a range of dramatic, silly, musical, emotional and physical acting techniques.
