Join small business consultant Nicole Biscardi, as she tackles “knowing your numbers” head-on in an informative and approachable online session.
This is an introductory class on financial forecasting for small business.
Attend this session to learn why financial forecasting is so important for ALL types of small businesses.
Whether it’s for pricing a job and determining your profit margin or setting aside funds for taxes— we will walk you through how to run basic revenue projections and financial forecasts for your business.
After the workshop, in-person attendees can sign up for a brief one on one session with Nicole for any specific questions about their business.
Key learning outcomes:
- Define financial projections (What are they?)
- Understand why they are important and help us run our businesses better
- Learn how to set up a simple projection for a business plan, pitch deck, or just general financial planning and job estimation. Nicole will provide a customizable Excel sheet for participants following the class, to use as a tool to create your own set of projections quickly and easily.
About the instructor:
An experienced educator and industry expert, Nicole Biscardi translates over two decades of experience into valuable resources for her clients via her consulting and advisory practice, NB&Co. Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management as well as an MBA in Finance, both from Pace University in NYC where she currently teaches on the Adjunct Faculty.
In addition to her collegiate-level classroom teaching experience at Pace, Nicole has experience in designing education and training materials for the workplace, and developing customized learning curricula for organizations, non-profits, and government institutions. She is also a certified human resources practitioner and holds the SHRM-CP designation.
Nicole has designed and collaborated on programs, resources and tools specifically geared towards supporting small businesses throughout New York City with needs ranging from operations management and compliance to financial literacy and mentorship. Some of her recent projects include work for New York City Department of Small Business Services, The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and Hot Bread Kitchen.
Nicole has played a critical role in supporting the economic recovery of the food and beverage industry in New York City through her work as the in-house Restaurant and Hospitality Industry Specialist on the NYC Small Business Resource Network program, having personally consulted with nearly 1,000 small businesses during the pandemic, developing a deep knowledge and understanding of the needs of NYC entrepreneurs and business owners.
