During this workshop you will gain confidence and learn how bookkeeping comes together with hands-on exercises using a sample company.
You will learn how to:
- Put together a bookkeeping plan, including what to do, when, and how
- Use time-saving software features such as bank connections and receipts scanning to help you stay on track
- Check your work to make sure you can rely on the reports you see
- Manage QuickBooks settings to enable the features you need and get the ones you don’t need out of your way
- Get great reports that help you manage your business AND show you exactly what to enter on your HST return

About Michele:
Michele Craig CPA is an Elite-level QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She is the founder of BookSmarts, an independent training and consulting firm based in Barrie and serving businesses across Ontario.
Michele’s early career as a company Controller and Accounting Manager helped her to gain insights into the best ways to set up and use accounting software. She strives to equip her clients with the QuickBooks skills and bookkeeping knowledge they need to successfully manage their own books, even though most of her clients have never managed books before!
In her free time - depending on the season - Michele can be found on the curling ice, on the golf course, or camping/hiking/paddling in the beautiful Ontario countryside.
