About this Event

Thinking about grad school? Discover how the MA in International Studies (MAIS) at SFU can be a great option for you.

Join us for an in-person information session in Vancouver on Tuesday, October 14.

The MA in International Studies prepares students to meaningfully influence knowledge, policy, and action in Canada and around the world.

As a MAIS student, you will benefit from:

  • small-size classes with world-class experts addressing global problems through interdisciplinary approaches;
  • funding support for tuition, research travel, and professional opportunities;
  • practical training in research, policy analysis, and communications; and
  • personalized mentorship and professional development focused to your goals.

MAIS graduates work locally and around the world with governments, non-governmental organizations, international agencies, and thinktanks, leading action on human rights, conflict resolution, environmental protection, economic development and trade, diplomacy, and community empowerment.

The application process for the MAIS class of 2026/27 opens October 14 until January 13, 2026.

If you are interested in taking the next step in your academic and professional development, sign up for one of our information sessions to meet our team and learn more about the MAIS program, funding support, and application process.
