The Bodymechanics School Massage Therapy Instructor Training Program is designed for massage therapy professionals who have a desire to become an effective massage therapy instructor as well as to help those who already teach increase their knowledge and improve their classroom skills.The program establishes instructor competencies that will develop ethical, employable massage and bodywork practitioners. Participants will leave with the knowledge, skills, and attitude that can positively impact the massage and bodywork profession.

Participants will explore four topics that form the basis of effective and successful teaching :

• The Learner and Learning – Teaching begins with the learner. Learn to recognize patterns of learning and development that vary individually.
• Content – Develop your deep and flexible understanding of your subject area and be able to draw upon content knowledge as you work with adult learners.
• Instructional Practice – Understand and integrate planning, strategies and assessment in coordinated and engaging ways.
• Professional Responsibility – Learn to establish safe and productive learning environments, meet learners’ needs and accomplish institutional mission and goals.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion and 32 hours of continuing education – including 6 hours of ethics.

Massage Therapy Instructor Training

This course is comprised of comprehensive training material, power point presentations, classroom activities and assessments.

Instructors: Dawn Edge, RPh, LMT – massage therapy educator since 2017 and CE coordinator at Bodymechanics School of Massage

Brandon Casbeer, LMT- massage therapy educator since 2019 and learning and development manager at Bodymechanics School of Massage

Shari Aldrich, LMT - massage therapy educator, owner of Bodymechanics School of Massage and director of Bodymechanics Institute

Classes will be help at the Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage Tumwater campus
