About this Event
Course tutors: Anita Mehrez & Sarah Wilkins
Course description: This 2-day course is designed for massage therapists who
want to expand their skills in massage therapy, enabling them to work safely
and effectively with people with cancer and/or other complex/life-threatening
conditions. We will explore safe and creative ways of adapting massage therapy
whilst gaining an understanding of the rationale for adapted work for clients at
all stages of a cancer journey, whether on active treatment, living beyond, or
alongside supportive and end of life care. As a teaching team we are committed
to providing a knowledge base that can be contextualised to suit a variety of
different environments. We take a zero-strain approach to massage with touch based sessions that will allow you to build your confidence working with and
without oil, through both practitioner and client experience.
