This is NOT a Beginners hike.NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND but please check to make sure you can complete this hike. ***YOU are responsible for your own personal safety and that WE do not assume any responsibility or liability for you or your belongings.*** Bring at least 3 liters of water, and good hiking boots. A camera is a must for the views
This hike is rated MODERATE! with a gradual elevation gain.
The trail is about 6 miles Round Trip.
There is no Carpool.
Directions from US60
- Take US60 east to Exit 196 Idaho.
- Make a left onto Idaho and follow the signs for SR88. Initially SR88 is Idaho but after a few miles you need to make a right to stay on SR88.
- Stay on SR 88 until you pass the Lost Dutchman State Park. DO NOT ENTER THE PARK.
On SR88 about a half mile down the road you will see a large TONTO national Forrest sign on the right.
- First right after the Tonto National Forrest sign, make a right onto FIRST WATER.
- We will meet in the SECOND PARKING LOT on the RIGHT side of the road, This is a larger parking lot.
The parking lot will be at the third parking lot or the second on the right side of the road.
