This special Mass is hosted by St. Joseph Co-Cathedral as Bishop Simon Peter celebrates his first Mass as bishop inside this historic church. St. Joseph Co-Cathedral is of significant importance to the Diocese and to the bishop as it is the mother church of the surrounding churches and is the place of the bishop’s second cathedra (chair). At this Mass, the People of God will experience the cultural beauty of authentic Ugandan worship which is an important part of the life of our new bishop.Reception to follow at the Oaks venue at 108 St Patrick Street in Thibodaux.
