Dames is founded in New York by designer Mary Katlyn O’Malley IN 202. O’Malley decided to start the Dames Brand based on the fact, that she wanted to look fierce without being sexually assaulted or contacted on the streets of New York. All too many days have been spent with women reconsidering what they’re wearing when they go out to feel that they’re going to be vulnerable and open prey. Setting her sights on sharp silhouettes, body con, body hugging, and badass geometrics. O’Malley has combined street style with street sense and offers several other additions to make sure that a woman is safe from the minute that she steps out the door until she comes home. Including self defense charms, which are hung off loops, including rape whistles, stun guns and several other things.
