Masonry is a durable material that, when regularly maintained, can last for years, while improper repair can cause irreversible damage. Learn the basics of historic masonry from our preservation experts, including how to identify different types of bricks, concrete blocks, and mortars; proper tuckpointing and repair; maintenance techniques to avoid; and signs of common masonry problems.Participants can choose between two workshop times: May 7 at 12:00 p.m. EDT or May 7 at 6:00 p.m. EDT. The workshop lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
