“Masonic Beginnings in the Code of Hammurabi”

The Code of Hammurabi, a collection of laws and decrees created by the Babylonian king Hammurabi around 1754 BC, is one of the oldest and most complete legal texts from the ancient world. While not directly related to the origins of Freemasonry, the Code's emphasis on justice, order, and social responsibility resonates with the principles of the fraternal organization.

Frank Ida is a Past Master of Smithtown Lodge #1127 as well as a Royal Arch and Scottish Rite Mason. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY is a seasoned Program Manager with a robust background in technology systems related to infrastructure projects. He currently serves as a Program Manager at a leading infrastructure consulting firm, where his specialty is in the field of Transportation Systems. Frank is a husband, father, and grandfather with possibly too many hobbies, an artist, inventor, and avid reader of non-fiction with a great affinity to reading history.
