ABOUT THE ARTIST
When considering the current rise in bluegrass popularity, Grammy-nominated artist Mason Via is often highlighted as the next pioneering figure. Since the release of his original album New Horizons with Mountain Fever Records, Via has taken the bluegrass and Americana scenes by storm. Listed by NPR as one of the top 10 bluegrass artists thriving in modern Nashville, he has been touring as the youngest member of Old Crow Medicine Show and contributing to their Grammy-nominated album Jubilee. His songwriting is also featured on Molly Tuttle’s Grammy-winning album Golden Highway and Del McCoury’s Grammy-nominated album Almost Proud.
Via has performed in 47 U.S. states and internationally in Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Highlights of his career include performances at Red Rocks, The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, the O2 Arena in London for C2C Fest, and opening for Luke Combs at Eagles Stadium. He has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Dierks Bentley, Sierra Ferrell, Steve Earle, Turnpike Troubadours, Keb’ Mo’, Margo Price, Amos Lee, Drew Holcomb, Cam, Brittany Spencer, Allison Russell, Shovels & Rope, Jerry Douglas, Gov’t Mule, and Mike Gordon of PHISH.
Don’t miss this very special opportunity in America’s oldest city, St. Augustine.
The Waterworks is an intimate, historic venue (built in 1898 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places) and only 120 tickets are available for each performance.
The Gamble Rogers Concert Series celebrates the legendary recording artist Gamble Rogers, whose balladry and storytelling shaped American folk music, on the third Saturday of each month.
